Kass Logistics, Inc. is a full service 3rd Party Logistics provider that specializes in less than truckload (LTL), volume or partial shipments, and truckload movements via dry van, flatbed, or reefer. We also have the capacity and ability to do warehousing, inter-modal, drayage, air freight, and international shipments. If you need something moved from one place to another be it a move around the corner, across the country, or around the world, we are here to ensure a reliable and seamless transportation experience.
Less than truckload, commonly referred to as LTL, is the movement of smaller sized shipments generally between one and six pallets in a traditional LTL environment. Multiple shippers share space on the same truck only paying for their portion, making LTL a cost efficient method of shipping freight. Kass Logistics offers a Transportation Management System (TMS) so as to efficiently and effectively manage your LTL experience.
Volume Partial shipments are what we refer to as shipments that fall into that gray area of being too big to be LTL and yet not big enough to be a full truckload. Generally, we consider volume partials to fall into the six to eighteen pallet ranges. Kass Logistics has amassed a great network of what we refer to as “non-traditional LTL carriers” who specialize in providing quality and reliable volume partial services.
Full truckload services refer to the exclusive use movement of goods over-the-road (OTR) in a trailer as large as fifty three feet hauling dry or refrigerated goods on dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, and conestogas. Kass Logistics has access to thousands of carriers nationwide, partnered with many regionally, and synergized with our local resources. Kass Logistics also exclusively represents multiple direct carriers, most notably a two hundred and fifty truck refrigerated fleet in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Intermodal transportation, also referred to as the rail, is an excellent low cost solution on longer haul full truckload movements. Intermodal transportation has greatly improved its service levels over the past ten years with large capital infrastructure improvements. Kass Logistics is able to offer committed capacity with allocations as well as annual published pricing based on commitment levels. If you are moving long haul full truckloads, you have to explore Kass’ rail product.
